  • Interesting, worth a look

From the Publisher

Eastern Echoes contains no explicit folk references but carries the flavour of McGuire's experiences of collaborating and playing flute with other musicians such as Mamta Yadav of the Glasgow Asian Artists Association, the Jewish Choral Society and Moustafa el Kurd who plays the Arabic lute and tutors a pipe band in East Jerusalem. However, the piece has a magical character of its own, especially in the improvisatory style of the flute writing. It was originally composed for the Hand/Feinstein Duo.
