Dream Seeking for solo flute is about stretching oneself to achieve dreams. It is inspired by the sound of the Native American flute and more specifically R. Carlos Nakai, the world's foremost practit ioner of the genre. It is meant to invoke a state of meditation and contemplation in the listener. The performer is asked to use pitch bending and tone colors to convey the sound of a Native American flute and to convey the mood of the piece.
