From the Publisher
The Divertissement pour Instruments a Vent Op 36 was written around 1890 and dedicated to the Societe des Instruments a Vent led by the famous flautist Paul Taffanel. This work is certainly very important: a rare work for double-wind quintet from that period, in a personal late-romantic style and with remarkable musical qualities.
