“Really different and really interesting!”
Spicing up repertoire is always fun and this book delivers interesting pieces that are written for intermediate flute players together with pianists of a similiar standard. There is such a mixture here! There are simple tunes, such as Rumba and Dreamy Waltz, but you will also find tremolo, fluttering, tongue rams and strange intervals as well as one for Bach ornamentation complete with facsimile copy. The harmonies can be unexpected too. Not in the least bit predictable so if you're feeling a little jaded this could be just the book for you - despite the eye-watering price tag!
From the Publisher
Dialogos is a group of chamber music pieces for young players and takes its name from the interplay between equal playing partners. The pieces are arranged more or less in order of difficulty. The source of ideas for several of these pieces has been baroque techniques of ornamentation and imitation.
