A delightful Jazz-inspired collection for Eb saxophone and piano with demo/backing tracks (accessible via the audio download code provided), by Chris Lawry and Keri Degg. Christmas Jazz Volume 2 consists of five festive arrangements including smoochy ballads (The Holly An The Ivy, and Away In A Manger) but also tunes with serious groove factor (Ukrainian Folk Carol in a fast swung style), and O Holy Night (In a cheeky jazz-funk groove), and not to mention Deck The Halls (inspired by the musical style of Astor Piazzolla's beautiful Nuevo Tango style). A set of high quality demonstration (sax with backing), and backing tracks are included with the book (by accessing the tracks with the included audio downloads code), As well as featuring the original know melody, each piece has a written out accessible sax solo (all written out: no improvisation required!) with stunning new original material; a sort of written out sax solo if you like. The pieces are not too advanced, and players of intermediate ability will be able to play all without any difficulty. Some, (The Holly and The Ivy, and Away In A Manger) are even more accessible; around grade 3-4.
