“Another lovely book by Hilary Taggart”
Chris Hankin Just Flutes staff member - [email protected]
HiIary Taggart writes so well for the flute! As usual with her music, each piece tackles a specific technical issue, for example Hooves will improve 12/8 articualtion, Yellow Sand covers E flat fingering and hand position, and Promenade addresses evenness of fingers and tonal control. That these quite advanced concepts are introduced through imaginative music- making rather than though intensive exercises will make this book so much more appealing to a less experienced player. Invaluable!
