From the Publisher
Cavatina (meaning a short simple melody) was originally written for piano, before Stanley Myers re-wrote it for guitar. It was made famous in the film The Deer Hunter. The oboe has the chance to show off its beautiful sound in the main theme, the bassoon and clarinet taking over in the development section.
