“Something different for an old favourite!”
The driving bass line quavers at the start of this imaginative take on Carol of the Bells enhance its restless mood which is is is only disturbed by a brief appearance of We Three Kings in the middle. The independent part writing adds interesting textures and the flexibility of the scoring means it's really useful in all sorts of Christmas settings. It's great to play too, and certainly something different!
