“An adventure for Two Flutes!”
Chris Hankin Just Flutes staff member - [email protected]
If you're bored of arrangements of the classics this could be just the duet book for you! Here are 24 short pieces that will take you on a journey through a weird and wonderful world of dissonance, unexpected rhythms and some basic contemporary techniques. The first duet, Tempo di Valse, uses a simple rhythm to introduce clashing semitones. By No 10, Burlesque, this has progressed to including syncopated rhythms and by No 24, Apollo, the difficulty has been increased still further by more technical writing and the use of harmonics. It's all very interesting and certainly an adventure. You'll either love it or hate it!
