From the Publisher
Inspired by the expansive grandeur of the Big Sky state, Dorff’s second trio for flute, viola, and harp is set in two scenic movements: 1. Montana Morning and 2. Dancing Under the Stars. The first movement evokes the spacious view of seemingly infinite flat land and stillness, while the second movement is a succession of sparkly dances inspired by the clear nighttime sky. A recording by the Hat Trick ensemble is available on Bridge Records.
