“Heart-on-your sleeve music!”
Chris Hankin Just Flutes staff member - [email protected]
If you have ever wished that the likes of Brahms had written something for the flute you may enjoy this beautiful piece. It's proper passionate 'heart-on-your-sleeve' Romantic music! The dramatic opening E minor melody is made even more dark and brooding by the octave accompaniment. The following Piu Allegro develops into a cadenza passage and this is turn leads into a C major Adagio. which is full of chromaticism. The opening melody then returns and the music then comes to a seemingly tragic end. If you have a good pianist this is a wonderful piece which will fit very well into any balanced programme. Who needs Brahms anyway?!
