From the Publisher
Andante & Tarantella was composed by Sir Edward German in 1892. This melodious piece is written in the most suitable position for clarinet and is aimed at moderately advanced players. The quiet andante section is followed by a little cadenza which opens the piece towards the tarantella. The piece is perfect for competitions or concerts – and also as an original encore. This edition is part of the new Schott Student Edition series which offers varied literature at five different levels of difficulty and provides practising tips and information by the editor Rudolf Mauz (Die fröhliche Klarinette).
