Mozart at his subtle best. This elegant andante contrasts passages of poignancy with bars of joyous vigour.Originally scored for solo flute and orchestra, for this edition, the orchestral accompaniment has been compressed into a single line for a second flute with all thecorrect harmonies maintained. An optional cadenza composed by Roz Trübger is added at bar 92, although the performer is encouraged to extemporise their own as intended.
