As I think about my life as a solo flutist I especially treasure the wonderful pianists with whom I've had the joy of performing, and the lasting friendships which have been the gift of our collaborations. Each of the transcriptions was inspired by a particular artist and I thank each of them with all my heart.
The book is dedicated to the idea that we flutists have always been singers and storytellers and that we possess the gift to describe with our instruments the most beautiful mysteries of life.
