Our Description
A Day in the Life of a Flute poses the proposition that, instead of being a conglomeration of screws, springs, pads and a rigid pipe, flutes are human too! Is the flute an extension of the human body, or is the body and extension of the flute?
The performer is encouraged to add another dimension to music - namely verbalization - to enhance and clarify the performance. This can be realized through the visual and verbal effects of sighing, yawning, stretching, panting, etc., as the music suggests. With a little bit of practice, you can have the audience 'eating out of your hand'. Instead of 'spoon feeding', use your finger.
