Our Description
These duets are easy and uncomplicated pieces by a 18th century composer who is hardly known today. The duets, presented here for the first time in a new edition, are arrangements made by an unknown arranger of a sonata originally composed for two flutes and bass. It is highly unlikely that Lapis authorized this version although he need not have been ashamed since its quality implies the work of an expert musician. Lapis was born around the first decade of the 18th century, and the extremely sparse traces about his life completely vanish in England in 1765. The duets are well-suited for music schools.
