From the Publisher
In the late baroque period the flute was one of the most popular instruments. This is reflected by the abundance of pieces written for this instrument during this time. Numerous collections or, as we would say today, albums for beginners were published. Many of these are musically unsatisfactory. For the present album we have tried to select pieces that are pedagogically meaningful; they appear in order of difficulty.
Difficulty guide: 3-6
