“Such a useful book”

Chris Hankin Just Flutes staff member - [email protected]

Helen Madden has produced this wonderful little book which is full of unusual material to add interest to the learning of tricky techniques. Each of the 20 short studies has a specific purpose which is clearly explained together with the note range used. This could be a simple as playing with the metronome to establish pulse, controlling articulation or a finger workout for the more advanced. The large ability range covered here makes this book extremely useful. It's also an absolute bargain!

From the Publisher

This book presents a combination of musical styles, including jazz and modern classical, taking the player from grades 1 to 8. Each study is written with a particular focus in mind; be it a rhythmic, technical or genre specific focus, each one is written with a clear purpose and with the intention of helping the player progress to the next level.
