“Neglected Trios”

Richard Muller-Dombois has compiled four very good books of trios for his 'Art of Ensemble Playing' series. All his work is extremely good and this first volume is packed full of material suitable for inexperienced ensemble players. There are 45 folk tunes here, all of which are short and easily manageable. They make excellent sightreading exercises, as well as great tuning studies. Expensive yes, but this book will be useful for so many occasions that it's bound to pay its way.
