10 Etudes Orchestrales for Bassoon Solo
From the Publisher
The purpose of this notebook is to place the orchestral excerpts in their musical context. It allows us to prepare for the difficult passages that we may encounter in the orchestra or during competitions and thus to have a better knowledge of what surrounds them. Knowing and appropriating this context makes it possible to integrate and work on these passages in a more in-depth way and thus to master them with greater ease.
Moreover, we can also see these scores as pieces in their own right and offer them in a concert program or as a study of the repertoire with older students.
This notebook is essentially based on passages that can be described as "virtuoso" in the orchestral repertoire of the bassoon, and thus makes it possible to associate technical work with musical work.
