“Back to the 1960's (French editions)”
Oh dear! I couldn't believe what came out of the envelope. The sort of editions that came from Paris in the 1960's, were printed in a faded way on the worst quality of paper, -paper which would soon turn brown and disintegrate. Very disappointing. Even more so because one of my pupils has this piece in a crisp modern production by Paul Edmund Davies (The Flautist's Collection, Vol 3, £12.99) on finest paper. I wish I'd spent an extra £2 and had a juicy volume of repertoire for my money. I won't be buying any more 'Enoch' editions. Buyer beware. This is not the shop's fault, but the publisher. Something should have changed in fifty years as it's just not good enough in 2020.
