The six sonatas by Michel Ballet are a key part of the flute repertoire of French Baroque flute music. They are accessible on both the modern and baroque instruments. They also provide many opportunities to practise precision in French baroque ornamentation. Above all, they are melodious, not too complicated and excellent for playing with friends
