“just fine”
Although I have seen criticism of plastic-covered reeds as against uncoated reeds elsewhere, I find them a huge blessing: they need no soaking and they last a lot longer. They are well worth the extra price, in fact they probably work out cheaper in the long run (I used to get through uncoated reeds quite fast, but I've not yet had to replace a plasticover). Critics of the tone produced may be right, but I can't hear any difference that bothers me. Of course I'm just an ordinary person playing for fun, not a professional musician, but I wouldn't go back to uncoated reeds.
“Brilliant reeds for beginners!”
As a beginner clarinetist I was going through a lot of reeds. Notes were cracking ect. Well that seems a thing of the past. These reeds last so much longer. Working out far cheaper than even budget reeds in the long run. If you are looking for a good reed that helps with cracking notes then look no further.
