Product Reviews: Sankyo CF-301 Flute

There is no flute like a Sankyo flute. I have a 301 and an Etude 201 (which I bought from Just Flutes)
Both are exceptional in sound and mechanism. The quality of the craftsmanship is superb.

The 301 has the most wonderful rich sound in all registers and can be played as hard as you like with no "smashing" of notes.
I originally wanted an Altus, Miyazawa or Yamaha but when I played the Sankyo I was shocked by how much more beautiful it was than those other flutes. They were so mediocre in comparison.

The mechanism is silent and smooth also - another great reason to try this flute. I've given my 301 serious hammer for a year and I've yet to discover any 'cons'. It's a superstar!

I personally would not waste my money on any other make of flute now that I've heard the difference.

I’ve had this instrument a while now and thoroughly love it. Also had a passion for Sankyo flutes. It’s very responsive in all registers and delicious low notes. I like the way I can get diminuendos almost to a whisper effortlessly. At first I wasn’t sure as my Pearl is very good but the Sankyo has the edge. The third octave is sweet and those certain notes that are liable to crack in this register like top F# or G# don’t. I personally think that if you’re met with an array of instruments to try it’s very hard to make an informed choice. To me it takes a while to get to know your instrument.
