“It saved my flute playing!”
I was about to quit the flute because I was developing this horrible pain in my jaw. I went to see a teacher that realized it was because I was pressing the headjoint too hard against my chin to prevent the flute from turning (when going from middle C# to D). After months of trying to correct this (without success) I bought two of these saddles (one for my left hand and one for my right thumb). I've been playing them for 5 days now and the pain is disappearing, the flute is stable in my hand (no turning), I can really relax everything including wrists and shoulders and best of all, after just a few hours of playing, I got completely used to them and the flute feels more comfortable than ever before.
“great idea”
All the pupils find it very comfortable. Big help for balancing C's
“8 year old daughter finds it a great help”
The title says it all really. Our eight year has just started to learn the flute and the teacher recommended the Bo-Pep Finger Saddle to help her position her thumb and fingers and minimise strain, which it does very well.
“good for a young beginner”
This has really helped my young beginner (aged 7) to hold their flute more securely and with a better hand position, and reassure them that hey will not drop the flute.
“Flute finger saddle”
I bought one of these to help with finger positioning my finger would go numb hoping this might help, yes it seemed to do the trick for a while but I think I need to work on my posture, not bad, can help but mine does move ( I am a beginner)
