Product Reviews: HW Flute Body and Footjoint Pad Saver

I bought a set of these, as I play and teach almost every day, and as I live in a tropical climate, I try to limit the amount of moisture that remains in my flute to save the pads from damage. After using these for less than a year, most of my pads developed splits and leaks, requiring a complete repad. My repairer said that i shouldn't leave these in my flute, as it kept the environment inside the instrument humid, by retaining the moisture. He suggested using them to clean my flute out, but then to store them away from my flute,and certainly not inside the case. This was an expensive lesson to learn!

I should have bought one of these years ago. I am a flute (and woodwind) teacher and so my flute gets used every day..sometimes just to play a few notes..and then its put away, so it has saved a lot of time cleaning the inside of the flute. It is well made and colourful, in just a week of buying one for myself..one of my pupils was very impressed and I've ordered one for her too!
