I had teething problems so I emailed Stephen Wessel who quickly got back to me and helped me setup properly.
Using it on a flute it took me less than 5 minutes to find one big leak, a medium leak and a tiny leak.
And once I sorted the pads the ferret told me everything was sealing perfectly!
A lot of time saved, and peace of mind!

The Wessel Flute Ferret is an indispensable tool for flute technicians. Having used various electric pump leak detectors over the years, I can confidently say that the Flute Ferret is by far the most sensitive and effective leak detection tool available today.

One of its greatest strengths is its simple, intuitive design. Unlike other leak detectors that rely on electric pumps, the Flute Ferret requires no external power. It uses very low pressure which is similar to pressures inside the flute tube when it is played. This means that it can detect even the smallest leaks which my other (more expensive) machines cannot find. You can also easily test pads and tone holes with both positive and negative air pressure.

The ability to thoroughly check for leaks and resolve any issues provides invaluable peace of mind—not only for technicians but also for their clients.
