“Its a Yamaha”
The 20 series recorders from Yamaha are not Yamaha's top-of-the-line, but they are wonderful, and can beat the pants off of plenty of recorders constructed of wood. The sound is more open than more tapered Baroque-style recorders with curved and arched windways, but these instruments with straight, flat windways are made to be forgiving for use by beginners. They have accurate intonation, and have a good, full tone throughout the register. Even experienced players will like these, if only to have an indestructible practice instrument that is still enjoyable to play because the sound quality is so good.
I had to have this model in the ruby red color. Yamaha won't import this color to the United States, but Just Flutes really came through and sold one to me. I am totally satisfied with this instrument. It you think that plastic recorders are all alike, you need to switch to Yamaha.
