“mesmerizing”
It truly sounds and looks like a very expensive wooden recorder, but it's much cheaper and requires much less maintenance as it is made of plastic. Wonderful sound and great dynamics - I was (positively) surprised by the lowness and big size of the alto compared to my soprano. But if you play the soprano comfortably, the stretch on the alto will be no problem at all - I played it (and a tenor) fluently after 30 minutes of adjustment time. I love the sound of a soprano, BUT an alto is truly just as great (if not greater) in its own way, plus it's range is more comfortable than soprano for many listeners. Beautiful, mesmerizing sound and very playable, high notes come very easily - for anyone interested in recorders, I recommend the Aulos Haka very much!
“Treble Recorder delightful”
The Aulos Haka treble recorder is made of plastic not wood but I am very pleased with it. The tones are clear and pleasant to hear. The quality is excellent. I recommend this to anyone as a first treble recorder.
“Loud and full sound”
This treble has a big sound and is very good on the high register, but it does require a lot of breath. Also, the beak and the feel of the instrument were too bulky for my liking.
