Low Flutes Workshop with Carla Rees
Low Flutes Workshop with Carla Rees
Saturday, 1 February 2025, 10:00
Join renowned British low flute specialist, Carla Rees and Flutes & Co in a day dedicated to flutes and flute playing. This fun and informative day will cover articulation, breathing, intonation and ensemble playing.
Participants will book a place on either the morning or afternoon low flute workshop with Carla and are also welcome to join members of Flutes & Co in the morning or afternoon (or both) for C-flutes play sessions led by Flutes & Co Musical Director Sue Nicholls, sight reading a range of flute choir repertoire.
You may be able to borrow an alto or bass flute or bring your own if you have one. Priority for borrowing will be given to Flutes & Co members.
Participants will benefit from Carla's extensive experience and insights, which will help them refine their techniques and enhance their musical interpretation. We recommend a minimum equivalent playing standard of grade 5 for you to get the most out of the day. Under 18s are welcome if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
