Profile last updated: 25 Nov 2022
I am a skilled professional saxophonist, experienced instrumental tutor and jazz educator. Graduating from Leeds College of Music in 2012, I have since built a professional career that has seen me perform and educate widely in the North of England.
I have a wealth of teaching experience having maintained a large roster of private students of varying ages, abilities and ambitions for the past 8 years. I have also been the saxophone tutor at Artforms’ North Leeds Music Centre since 2013, and have taught ensemble classes for Jazz At Heart for the past two years. In doing this I have, among many other things: coached students with conservatoire ambitions, introduced solid intermediate players to the richness of the jazz tradition, overseen students develop from complete beginner to confident player and helped students to pro-actively overcome performance anxieties.
I provide a tailored learning experience that is engaging, fun and ultimately rewarding.
